Crispy Spicy Broccoli Wings
Ingredients
- 1 cup chickpea flour
- 3 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 cup plant based milk
- 1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs
- 4 cups broccoli florets
Sauce
- 3 tbsp tamari
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp sriracha
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C/350 F.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the chickpea flour, nutritional yeast, paprika, cumin, and plant based milk.
Dip the broccoli florets in the batter, then the breadcrumbs.
Transfer them to a baking dish, and bake for 25 minutes, until crispy.
Make the sauce by adding the tamari, apple cider vinegar, tomato paste, sriracha and maple syrup to a pan over a medium heat.
Mix together the cornstarch and water, and add to the sauce.
Whisk until the sauce thickens.
Serve the broccoli wings with the sauce.
