Extra Creamy Classic Hummus Dip

Ingredients

  • 2 cans organic chickpeas
  • 1 cup good quality tahini
  • Juice from one lemon
  • Reserved chickpea juice from can
  • 3-4 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper

Preparation

  1. Drain one can of chickpeas and reserve the liquid from the second can.

  2. Blend all ingredients including the reserved chickpea juice in a high-speed blender until smooth and creamy.

  3. Plate the hummus in a shallow bowl and decorate with chopped purple onions, roasted chickpeas, cherry tomatoes, parsley, lemon wedges, and crushed red pepper.

  4. Serve with warm pita bread.
