Extra Creamy Classic Hummus

Ingredients

  • 2 cans organic chickpeas
  • 1 cup good quality tahini
  • Juice from one large lemon
  • Chickpea aquafaba (reserved water), add to taste
  • 3-4 cloves garlic
  • 1-2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper

Garnishes

  • chopped purple onions
  • roasted chickpeas
  • cherry tomatoes
  • parsley
  • lemon wedges
  • crushed red pepper

Preparation

  1. Drain one can of chickpeas and reserve the aquafaba from the second can.

  2. In a high-speed blender, combine all ingredients and blend until smooth and creamy, adding more aquafaba if needed for desired consistency.

  3. Plate the hummus in a shallow bowl.

  4. Decorate with garnishes.
