Halloween Mummy Jalapeño Poppers
Ingredients
- 10 jalapeno peppers
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Ranch dip
- 1 cup sour cream
- 4 tbsp cilantro, chopped
- 1 jalapeno, seeded and chopped
- 2 tsp lime juice, freshly squeezed
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Slice the jalapeno peppers in half lengthwise and scoop out the insides with a spoon. Place them on a lightly oiled baking dish.
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, paprika, garlic powder, and season with salt and pepper.
Mix the ingredients well.
Fill each jalapeno pepper with the seasoned cheese mixture.
Unroll the puff pastry roll dough and cut thin strips. Wrap one or two pieces of dough around each pepper half, leaving space at the top to insert the googly eyes.
Place the mummies on a baking sheet and brush a thin layer of egg wash on each one.
Bake for about 15 minutes or until the mummies are golden brown. Remove them from the oven and place the candy googly eyes in the melted cheese.
Ranch dip
Combine all dressing ingredients in the bowl of a food processor.
Blend until the mixture becomes creamy and smooth.
