Homemade Seitan Sausages with Spices

Ingredients

  • 300g seitan fix powder
  • 6tb nutritional yeast
  • 2tb Tofu spice
  • 2tb paprika powder
  • 3ts salt
  • 1ts cumin
  • Pepper
  • 2 pinches sugar
  • 330ml water
  • 6tb olive oil
  • 4tb soy sauce
  • 6tb tomato puree
  • 1 red onion
  • 3 garlic cloves

Preparation

  1. Mix all dry ingredients together

  2. Chop onion and garlic in tiny pieces

  3. Fry in the oil

  4. Mix in a bowl with the wet ingredients

  5. Mix dry and wet ingredients together

  6. Add more water or seitan fix if too wet or dry

  7. Form about 10 seitan sausages

  8. Place each in aluminium foil

  9. Steam in a pot for 40 minutes (I use a bamboo steam pot)

  10. Take off the aluminium foil

  11. Fry on the grill or in a pan
