Mortadella Wraps with Cheese

Ingredients

  • 8 slices mortadella or smoked turkey
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked basmati rice
  • 1/2 medium bell pepper, cut into thin strips
  • 1 medium cucumber, cut into thin strips
  • 1/4 cup toasted sesame seeds

Preparation

  1. Place a slice of mortadella on a large plate.

  2. Using a wide metal knife, spread a quarter of the cream cheese on the mortadella.

  3. Spread a quarter cup of rice on the cheese.

  4. Place several strips of bell pepper or cucumber on the rice.

  5. Roll the mortadella around the rice and vegetables to form a cohesive wrap.

  6. Complete forming the remaining mortadella and ingredients into cohesive wraps.

  7. Using a sharp knife, cut each wrap into two or three pieces based on preferred size.

  8. Place sesame seeds on a large plate.

  9. Roll half of the wraps in the sesame seeds to cover only the edges.

  10. Arrange the wraps on a large serving plate and serve immediately.
