Desi Style Smashed Potato Snack
Ingredients
- Few baby potatoes
- Salt (for boiling)
- Butter
- Sesame seeds
- Mayonnaise
- Fresh coriander leaves
- Pomegranate seeds
Dry masala
- 1 tablespoon whole coriander
- 1 teaspoon dry fenugreek seeds
- 1 teaspoon fennel seeds
- A couple of dry red chilies
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
Preparation
Boil few baby potatoes in a pressure cooker with some salt for 2-3 whistles.
In a pan, dry roast the dry masala ingredients.
Coarsely grind the roasted spices to prepare the dry masala.
Smash the boiled potatoes.
In a pan, shallow fry the smashed potatoes in butter.
Sprinkle some salt and the prepared dry masala along with sesame seeds and fry until crispy on both sides.
Spread mayonnaise on top of the fried potatoes.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and pomegranate seeds.
Serve and enjoy.
