Vegetarian Fishless Fillet and Chips
Ingredients
- 3 sheets of @oceanshalo organic sushi nori
- Boiling water
- Lemon juice and @sarsonsuk malt vinegar
- Rice noodles
- 12 Peeled and grated Radishes
- 30g homepride plain flour
- 1.5 tsp baking powder
- Pinch of garlic powder, white pepper, turmeric
- Splash of lemon juice and dash of lemonade
- Cooking oil
- @tefal.uk Actifried chips
- @heinz_uk no added sugar tomato ketchup
- Sea salt
Preparation
Steep the sushi nori sheets in boiling water with lemon juice and malt vinegar for half an hour. Strain the stock and use it to cook rice noodles.
Drain the cooked rice noodles and mix in the peeled and grated radishes.
Shape the mixture into 2 fillets, wrap them in greaseproof paper, and refrigerate to set up.
In a bowl, mix the plain flour, baking powder, garlic powder, white pepper, turmeric, lemon juice, and lemonade to make the batter.
Heat cooking oil in a pan and dip the prepared fillets into the batter. Cook them in hot oil until golden.
Prepare the @tefal.uk Actifried chips according to the instructions.
Serve the fishless fillets and chips with a side of @heinz_uk no added sugar tomato ketchup and malt vinegar. Sprinkle with sea salt.
