Homemade Vegan Flatbread with Cashew Milk

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of flour extra for dusting and adjusting the dough
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 50 grams of vegan butter melted
  • 185 ml of cashew milk or milk of choice
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil

Preparation

  1. In a bowl combine the milk and melted butter.

  2. In a mixing bowl with a dough hook add the flour, salt then add the milk mixture and mix for five minutes. If the mixture is too soft add a touch more flour.

  3. After 5 minutes place the dough on a well floured bench and shape into a ball. Cover and let it rest for 40 minutes.

  4. Cut the dough into 4 pieces and roll out 3cm thick and roll out large enough to fit a medium size fry pan.

  5. Brush the pan with olive oil and place the dough. Cook for a few minutes then turn over and brush again. Repeat process.

  6. Place the cooked bread on a plate and cover until all the bread is made.
