Vegan Naan Bread with Garlic and Coriander
Ingredients
- 260g thick coconut yogurt (or any thick vegan yogurt)
- 250g self rising flour (gluten free or regular)
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt (optional)
Toppings
- garlic infused oil
- fresh coriander
- salt
Preparation
Add all your ingredients into a bowl and mix together. Initially use a spatula and then hands to form a big ball.
Knead the dough briefly until smooth and combined, adding a little flour if sticky.
Cut the dough into 3 pieces.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough with a rolling pin to just over 0.5cm thick in a naan shape.
Heat up a frying pan without oil.
Place the rolled dough in the pan and cook on one side for a few minutes until it puffs up and browns.
Flip the naan and cook the other side for slightly less time until golden brown.
Brush with garlic oil, add chopped fresh coriander and a little salt.
Repeat the process for the remaining naans.
