Minangkabau Beef Dendeng

Ingredients

  • 1 kg beef
  • 2 tbsp coriander, pounded
  • 4 tbsp sweet soy sauce
  • 5 kaffir lime leaves
  • 1 lemongrass stalk, bruised
  • Sugar and salt to taste

Ground

  • 6 large chilies
  • 10 dried chilies, boiled
  • 1 onion
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp coriander seeds
  • 2 inches ginger

Preparation

  1. Boil the beef with coriander until tender. Remove, drain, and let cool. Slice thinly, add sweet soy sauce, mix well, then fry and set aside.

  2. Sauté the ground ingredients until the oil separates. Add lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, sugar, salt, and the beef. Add 1 cup of hot water and cook until the sauce dries.

  3. It is ready.
