Mint Infused Indian Lentil Dal
Ingredients
- 1 cup toor dal
- Fresh mint, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon oil
- 1 tomato, diced
- 2 cups water
- 2 green chilies
- Turmeric powder
- Salt
- Ghee
- Cumin seeds
- Mustard seeds
- Curry leaves
- Dried red chilies
Preparation
Soak 1 cup of toor dal.
Clean and finely chop the mint, then add one teaspoon of oil to a pan and sauté it.
To the washed toor dal, add diced tomato, chopped mint, 2 cups of water, a couple of green chilies, and turmeric.
Cook the toor dal mixture until it is well cooked, mash it, and add salt.
Once the dal is cooked, heat some ghee in a pan, add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, curry leaves, and red chilies.
