Quick Fluffy Apple Sheet Cake
Ingredients
- 200 g soft butter
- 180 g sugar
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 5 eggs
- 350 g flour
- 1 packet baking powder
- 5 tablespoons milk
- 3 tablespoons apple juice
- 1.4 kg apples
For the pan and finishing
- butter, for greasing the pan
- milk, for brushing
- powdered sugar, for dusting
Preparation
Cream together the butter, vanilla sugar, and sugar
Mix in the eggs
Preheat the oven to 180°C (convection: 160°C)
Grease the baking sheet (39x26x4 cm)
Mix the flour and baking powder and add to the butter-sugar mixture
Add the milk and apple juice and mix well
Pour the batter into the baking sheet and smooth the top
Peel, core, and quarter the apples
Press the apple slices into the batter in rows
Pre-bake the cake for about 15 minutes
Remove the cake from the oven and brush lightly with milk
Bake for another 20-25 minutes
Let the cake cool completely
Dust with powdered sugar
