Quick Fluffy Apple Sheet Cake

Ingredients

  • 200 g soft butter
  • 180 g sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 350 g flour
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 5 tablespoons milk
  • 3 tablespoons apple juice
  • 1.4 kg apples

For the pan and finishing

  • butter, for greasing the pan
  • milk, for brushing
  • powdered sugar, for dusting

Preparation

  1. Cream together the butter, vanilla sugar, and sugar

  2. Mix in the eggs

  3. Preheat the oven to 180°C (convection: 160°C)

  4. Grease the baking sheet (39x26x4 cm)

  5. Mix the flour and baking powder and add to the butter-sugar mixture

  6. Add the milk and apple juice and mix well

  7. Pour the batter into the baking sheet and smooth the top

  8. Peel, core, and quarter the apples

  9. Press the apple slices into the batter in rows

  10. Pre-bake the cake for about 15 minutes

  11. Remove the cake from the oven and brush lightly with milk

  12. Bake for another 20-25 minutes

  13. Let the cake cool completely

  14. Dust with powdered sugar
