Strawberry Jam Filled Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups warm milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup fine granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup corn oil
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon instant yeast
  • 3 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup strawberry jam
  • 2 tablespoons almond slices

Preparation

  1. In the mixer bowl, place the milk, salt, sugar, oil, butter, add 2 cups flour, yeast, egg, and vanilla

  2. Attach the dough hook and mix on medium speed until you get a semi-liquid dough, then add the remaining flour and mix for 2 minutes

  3. Cover the bowl and place in a warm place to double in size

  4. Grease a 12-inch round pan with butter and dust with flour

  5. Pour the dough into the pan and level the surface

  6. Use a large spoon dipped in flour to make several slits in the dough, and spread half the jam in the slits

  7. Cover the pan with plastic wrap and place in a warm place to double in size

  8. Preheat the oven to 200°C

  9. Place in the middle rack and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden

  10. Remove from the oven, spread the remaining jam in the slits, brush the surface with a little jam, sprinkle with almonds, and serve warm or cold
