Strawberry Jam Filled Pie
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups warm milk
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup fine granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup corn oil
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 tablespoon instant yeast
- 3 1/4 cups flour
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup strawberry jam
- 2 tablespoons almond slices
Preparation
In the mixer bowl, place the milk, salt, sugar, oil, butter, add 2 cups flour, yeast, egg, and vanilla
Attach the dough hook and mix on medium speed until you get a semi-liquid dough, then add the remaining flour and mix for 2 minutes
Cover the bowl and place in a warm place to double in size
Grease a 12-inch round pan with butter and dust with flour
Pour the dough into the pan and level the surface
Use a large spoon dipped in flour to make several slits in the dough, and spread half the jam in the slits
Cover the pan with plastic wrap and place in a warm place to double in size
Preheat the oven to 200°C
Place in the middle rack and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden
Remove from the oven, spread the remaining jam in the slits, brush the surface with a little jam, sprinkle with almonds, and serve warm or cold
