Vanilla Cake with Cream Decoration
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup softened butter
- 1/4 cup corn oil
- 1 1/3 cups fine granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1.5 cups buttermilk or milk
For decoration
- Cream frosting
- Sweets or candy
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt together.
In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk, and mix until just combined.
Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake for 30-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool completely before decorating with cream frosting and sweets.
