Sweetheart Snickers Dates Treat

Ingredients

  • 10-15 Medjool dates (pitted)
  • 10 tbsp nut butter (peanut, almond or cashew)
  • 100g dark chocolate, melted (or milk chocolate, if preferred)
  • 2 tbsp crushed peanuts (for topping)
  • A pinch of sea salt (optional)

Preparation

  1. Slice each date lengthways without cutting all the way through to create a pocket.

  2. Spoon about 1/2 teaspoon of nut butter into the centre of each date.

  3. Using a fork, dip each stuffed date into the melted chocolate, letting the excess drip off. Or simply drizzle the melted chocolate over the dates.

  4. Place coated dates on a baking paper-lined tray. Sprinkle crushed peanuts and a pinch of sea salt on top.

  5. Pop them in the fridge for 15–20 minutes or until the chocolate hardens.
