Sticky Sesame Cauliflower

Ingredients

  • cauliflower
  • 3/4 cup of flour (all-purpose is best)
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened non-dairy milk
  • 1 large minced garlic clove
  • 1/4 cup apricot (or similar flavor) 100% fruit jam
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce or tamari

Preparation

  1. Cut 1 small-medium cauliflower into bite-size florets, about 3 cups

  2. In a large bowl, whisk: 3/4 cup of flour (all-purpose is best), 2 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp salt

  3. Slowly add 3/4 cup unsweetened non-dairy milk while stirring

  4. Add cauliflower florets to the bowl and mix them into the batter to coat

  5. Transfer the cauliflower to a lined baking sheet

  6. Bake at 450F for about 20 minutes, or until start to turn golden

  7. Broil for an additional 2-3 minutes to get that extra crisp

  8. Meanwhile, make sauce

  9. Mix: 1 large minced garlic clove, 1/4 cup apricot (or similar flavor) 100% fruit jam, 2 tbsp soy sauce or tamari

  10. Heat sauce in a small-medium skillet and add cauliflower

  11. Continue heating while gently mixing cauliflower until coated in sauce and warmed through, 2-3 minutes

  12. Serve immediately

  13. Top with toasted sesame seeds
