Chocolate Oatmeal Breakfast Bowl
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup plain oats
- 3/4 cup plain coconut yoghurt
- 1 tbsp. Cacao PB Spread
- Banana or choc bits to serve.
Preparation
Cook the oats.
Add milk or yoghurt and stir through.
Mix through the nut spread.
Serve with a topping of fruit, nuts, or chocolate bits.
Tips
When purchasing oats, look for organic, wheat-free varieties found in health food aisles.
Soak oats in filtered water for at least a few hours prior to cooking to ensure maximum nutrient absorption and aid digestion.
Limit servings to 1/2 cup at a time, as it may cause bloating for those with IBS.
Oats contain beta-glucan, which lowers cholesterol and enhances immune response to bacterial infections.
