Maple Pecan French Toast Skillet
Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 2 scoops vanilla protein
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/4 cup coconut sugar
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
- 4 1/2 cups sourdough bread cubes
Preparation
Whisk together 3 eggs.
Combine 2 scoops vanilla protein, 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk, 1 tablespoon cinnamon, 1/4 cup pure maple syrup, 1/4 cup coconut sugar, and 1/4 cup chopped pecans.
Mix everything together and add 4 1/2 cups of sourdough bread cubes.
Soak the mixture in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Spray a skillet with nonstick spray.
Pour the mixture into the skillet and top with additional pecans.
Preheat the oven to 400°F
Bake in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
