Maple Pecan French Toast Bake
Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup milk of choice
- 1/4 cup coconut sugar
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 4 1/2 cups sourdough bread, cut into cubes
- 1/4-1/2 cup chopped pecans
Preparation
In a bowl, whisk together 3 eggs.
Add 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1 tbsp cinnamon, 1/2 cup milk of choice, 1/4 cup coconut sugar, and 1/4 cup maple syrup to the bowl. Mix the ingredients together.
Once the wet mixture is combined, add in 4 1/2 cups of sourdough bread cubes.
Allow the mixture to soak for 30 minutes or overnight for better flavor absorption.
Add 1/4 to 1/2 cup of chopped pecans to the mixture.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
Bake the French toast bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 34 minutes, until the top is golden and the center is set.
Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
