Kimchi and Silken Tofu Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon red pepper powder (or more)
  • 2-3 garlic cloves
  • 2 green onions or 1 large onion
  • 300g kimchi
  • 400g water
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Kelpamare (optional)
  • 1 block silken tofu (400g)
  • Handful of beans (about 6 pods)

Preparation

  1. In a saucepan, preferably cast iron, sauté the minced garlic with sesame oil, chili, and the white part of the green onions for a few minutes.

  2. Once the aromas have developed, add soy sauce, kelpamare, chopped kimchi, beans, and water.

  3. Boil for a few minutes then add large spoonfuls of silken tofu.

  4. When everything is hot, serve and sprinkle with the green part of the green onions.
