Spicy Korean Braised Tofu
Ingredients
- 400g tofu
- 3 cloves garlic
- 2 spring onions
Sauce
- 1 tablespoon chili flakes
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons syrup or sugar
Preparation
Pat dry the tofu, cut into thick slices, and fry in oil on both sides until browned.
Finely chop the garlic and spring onions.
Mix together the chili flakes, sesame oil, soy sauce, water, and syrup or sugar to make the sauce.
Add the sauce to the tofu in the pan.
Let it simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.
