Spicy Korean Braised Tofu
Ingredients
- 400g tofu
- 3 cloves garlic
- 2 spring onions
- 1 tablespoon chili flakes
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons syrup or sugar
Preparation
Pat dry the tofu and cut it into thick slices.
Fry the tofu slices in oil on both sides until browned.
Finely chop the garlic and spring onions.
Mix together the chili flakes, sesame oil, soy sauce, water, syrup or sugar, and the chopped garlic and spring onions.
Add the sauce mixture to the tofu in the pan.
Simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.
Tips
Serve with rice and garlic eggplant for a complete meal.
