Easy Homemade Chocolate Eclairs
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 80 g butter
- 1 cup flour
- Pinch salt
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 3 xl eggs
Filling
- Fresh cream
- Melted chocolate
Preparation
Add water to pot, add the butter, and allow to boil on medium heat.
Remove from heat, sift the flour and salt, and add to this mixture.
On low heat, mix well until the flour and water mixture makes a ball.
Allow to cool.
Add the eggs one at a time and beat, add the vanilla essence.
Add spoonfuls of the mixture or pipe the mixture using a piping bag on a baking pan.
Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 150°C for another 15 minutes.
Once cool, add fresh cream and top with melted chocolate.
Tips
You can use custard or whipped cream for the filling based on preference.
