Crispy Peanut Tofu with Cornflake Coating

Ingredients

  • 1 block of tofu, natural
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup
  • A handful of unsweetened corn flakes
  • Frying oil for the pan

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/390°F.

  2. Cut the tofu into large cubes and mix with the cornstarch.

  3. Bake the cubes for about 15-20 minutes.

  4. Meanwhile, mix the peanut butter, soy sauce, and maple syrup until creamy.

  5. Crumble the cornflakes in a separate bowl.

  6. Coat the baked tofu cubes first in the peanut mixture and then in the crumbled cornflakes.

  7. Fry the coated tofu in oil until golden brown.

  8. Serve with a dip of your choice.
