Crispy Tofu Steak
Ingredients
- 1 block extra firm tofu
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1/2 cup nutritional yeast
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon steak spice
Preparation
Press the tofu for at least 15 minutes.
Slice the pressed tofu into strips.
Add soy sauce to one bowl and combine the nutritional yeast, cornstarch, and steak spice in another bowl.
Dunk the tofu strips first in soy sauce, then in the seasoning mixture.
Air-fry at 400°F for 14-16 minutes, flipping halfway through, or bake at 400°F for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Tips
Use extra firm tofu for the best results.
Pressing the tofu longer improves texture and crispiness.
