Easy Spicy Minced Tofu Stir Fry with Herbs
Ingredients
- 1 block of firm tofu, drained and pressed for at least 30 minutes
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1/2 inch knob of ginger, minced
- 1 small yellow onion, minced
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp dry basil
- 1 tsp fennel seed
- 1/2 tsp of Trader Joe’s chicken-less seasoning salt or poultry seasoning
- 1 tsp cumin
- Pinch of cinnamon
- 2 tsp sriracha
Preparation
In a pan sauté onion until softened.
Add in 2 tbsp of water along with garlic and ginger. Sauté until fragrant, 2 minutes.
Crumble in tofu and add soy sauce, sriracha and remaining seasonings.
Sauté tofu, breaking it into smaller crumbles and coating evenly with seasoning.
Sauté and cook to remove as much moisture from the tofu, about 10 minutes.
Taste tofu and adjust salt and pepper to preference.
Remove from heat and serve as desired, I went with @lotusfoods ramen.
