Soy Glazed Spicy Tofu
Ingredients
- olive oil
- 1 block firm tofu
- 3 tbsp sweet soy sauce
- 1 tbsp regular soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 tbsp sambal badjak
- 1 tsp ground cloves
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Preparation
Cut the tofu in blocks
Heath a good amount of oil in an pan and fry both sides until golden
Place the baked tofu on a paper towel to remove excess oil
Add the tofu to the pan again and add in sliced garlic
Bake for 2 minutes and then add the ground cloves, soy sauce and lemon juice
Because the soy sauce is sweet, the tofu will caramelize
Watch out you don’t burn in! In the end, add in the sambal and bake shortly on low heath
Combine with some baked veggies, rice or noodles
