Beautiful Burgers

Ingredients

  • 5 cups of cannelloni beans
  • 3 tablespoons of oat flour
  • 1 large cooked baked sweet potato
  • tahini
  • maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1 tsp of cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp of smoked paprika
  • 2 tablespoons of nutritional yeast
  • 1/2 a cup of panko bread crumbs

Preparation

  1. The recipe says 1

  2. Cups of cannelloni beans but I just used a tin of black beans instead and they were gorgeous! I added 3 tablespoons of oat flour (I blitz some rolled oats), 1 large cooked baked sweet potato(I put in the micro for 6mins then the oven for 25mins then remove skin, I used tahini, maple syrup, 1/2 tsp of garlic powder, 1 tsp of cayenne pepper, 1 tsp of smoked paprika, 2 tablespoons of nutritional yeast and after you mix it all you leave in the fridge to firm up for 20 mins

  3. Then remove, I mixed in 1/2 a cup of panko bread crumbs then coated the burgers in the breadcrumbs too

  4. You can use flour or oat flour to the mix if you want it’s just to help make them firmer but I really wanted a crunchy burger so went for lots of panko ? (also if your wondering why I write this all down it’s so I can go back and read how I made things because I’ll definitely forget ?) I got 6 out of this portion so I’ve cooked off the other 5 and popped greaseproof paper between them to pop in the freezer
