Creamy Avocado Hummus Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 cup boiled chickpeas
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 2-3 garlic cloves
  • coriander leaves (optional)
  • juice of 1/2 lime
  • salt to taste
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Preparation

  1. In a blender, combine chickpeas, sesame seeds, cumin seeds, garlic, optional coriander leaves, lime juice, and salt; blend on pulse mode.

  2. Add avocado and olive oil, then blend again until smooth.

Serving suggestions

  1. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle chilli flakes, and add a few olives on top.

  2. Serve with chips, pita bread, or use as a sandwich spread.

Notes

  1. This hummus is made without tahini and is high in protein and healthy fats from avocados and chickpeas.
