Homemade Frothy Coffee with Milk and Syrup

Ingredients

  • 140ml semi-skimmed milk
  • 2 teaspoons instant coffee
  • 1 teaspoon golden syrup
  • 2 tablespoons hot water

Preparation

  1. Put 2 teaspoons of coffee in a cup.

  2. Add 1 teaspoon of golden syrup to the cup.

  3. Add about 2 tablespoons of hot water and mix well.

  4. Meanwhile, pour 140ml of semi-skimmed milk into a tightly sealed container suitable for microwave use.

  5. Shake the container vigorously for 30 seconds to create froth.

  6. Microwave the milk for 50-60 seconds until it becomes frothy.

  7. Pour the frothy milk into the cup with the coffee mixture.

  8. This method works better with skimmed milk and may not work well with full fat milk.

  9. Golden syrup can be substituted with sugar-free syrup if available for better results.
