Simple Cherry Compote for Breakfast Use
Ingredients
- 2 cups cherries, destoned
- 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
Preparation
Place both ingredients in a pan and heat on a medium setting for around 10 minutes until the cherries have broken down.
Add a little extra orange juice or water if it looks dry.
Serve with lumps or blend with a stick blender into a puree for children.
Usage tips
Optionally add a little maple syrup for extra sweetness.
Swirl through yogurt, drizzle over pancakes, or add to smoothies.
