Chocolate Granola

Ingredients

  • 3 cups jumbo oats
  • 1 1/2 cup mixed nuts with raisins
  • 1/4 cup dried berries (i used cranberries)
  • 1/4 cup desiccated coconut
  • 1/4 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1 1/2 cup dates
  • 3/4 cup tahini
  • 2 tablespoon cacao powder
  • dash of salt

Preparation

  1. Soak dates in warm water for 5 minutes until soft. Then mix dates, tahini, and cacao powder in a food processor, blend well. If too tacky, add some of the date water to achieve a consistency resembling gravy

  2. Combine all other ingredients in a large bowl. Then add the date and tahini mixture until well combined

  3. Spread evenly on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake for 30mins at 160 degrees, and stir occasionally to prevent burning

  4. When cooled, transfer to an air tight container. Enjoy it for breakfast for 1-2 weeks
