Easy Gluten-Free Chocolate Tart

Ingredients

  • 300ml coconut milk (from a can, roughly 3/4 can)
  • 210g chocolate of choice (I use a vegan coconut based one)
  • 300g ground almonds (want it nut free check FAQ's below)
  • 1/2 cup cacao powder (55g)
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup (85ml)
  • 3 tbsp coconut oil, melted

Preparation

  1. Add the coconut milk to a pot over a low heat, once warm add the chocolate and stir until melted. Take off the heat and allow to sit whilst you make the base

  2. To a large mixing bowl add the ground almonds + cacao powder + maple syrup + coconut oil and mix until it combines

  3. Pour into a tart tin and press down (aim for roughly 0.3mm thickness all around)

  4. Now pour the chocolate sauce into the base and place in the fridge for 3-4 hours until the chocolate has firmed up (you can speed this up by placing in the freezer for 1-2 hours)

  5. Finally top with whatever you want and slice
