Bbq Jackfruit + Mushrooms
Ingredients
- 250g shittake mushrooms, halved + sliced
- 1/2 cup tomato paste
- 1 tblsp tamari
- 2 tsp rice malt syrup
- 1/2 - 1 tsp apple coder vinegar
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- salt + pepper
- 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 400g tin jackfruit (rinsed + drained)
Preparation
Shred the jackfruit. In a large frying pan, fry off the garlic, mushrooms + jackfruit until brown + wilted
While that's cooking, whisk the remaining ingredients together, adding about 1/2 cup of water to thin it out
Turn the heat right down on the frypan and pour the sauce in. Give it a quick stir before removing from the heat. The sauce will thicken quickly. Combine it all well, and serve
