Crispy Orange Tofu Stir-Fry
Ingredients
Tofu
- 1 block tofu – cubed
- 1 tbsp soy sauce (or sub aminos)
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp arrowroot starch or cornstarch
Sauce
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup orange juice (from 1 medium orange)
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 1/2 tbsp arrowroot powder/starch or cornstarch
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp mustard
Optional extras
- Quinoa
- Roasted Broccoli
- Sesame Seeds (for topping)
- Red Pepper Flakes (for topping)
Preparation
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Mix tofu with soy sauce and sesame oil in a medium to large sized bowl. Add in starch 1 tablespoon at a time and shake to fully combine.
Roast tofu for 30-40 minutes on a lined sheet pan until it starts to crisp.
When tofu is almost done cooking, whisk together sauce ingredients.
Pour sauce into a skillet over medium heat. Bring to a simmer until sauce thickens, whisking as it heats up.
Mix tofu with sauce and serve with desired sides and toppings.
