Delicious Mango Kalakand Barfee Dessert
Ingredients
- 1 cup mango puree
- 1 cup crumbled paneer
- 3/4 cup condensed milk or milk powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
- 4 tablespoons sliced almonds (optional)
- 1 pinch saffron (optional)
Preparation
In a heavy bottomed pan, combine mango puree, condensed milk or milk powder, and paneer, and start to heat on a medium flame.
Continuously stir the mixture.
After 5-10 minutes, add cardamom powder, almonds, and saffron to the mixture, and continue stirring.
Keep stirring until the mixture has reduced to one third of its quantity and leaves the pan on its own.
Grease a flat bowl or mould with ghee. Press the mixture into it and refrigerate for 2 hours once it comes to room temperature.
Cut and enjoy.
