Easy No Bake Chocolate Mousse Cake

Ingredients

Base

  • 80 g soft dates
  • 80 g oat flour
  • water

Chocolate mousse

  • 400 g silken tofu
  • 160 g dark melted chocolate (vegan)
  • a pinch of salt

Optional

  • 2 tbsp cacao
  • ~25 g coconut sugar or regular sugar

Chocolate sauce

  • 1 tbsp date syrup
  • 1 tsp cacao
  • ~ 2 tbsp water

Preparation

  1. Puree or mix the dates with a splash of warm water. It can be chunky. If the dates are really soft, you can use your hands to mix them with the oat flour to a dough. If they are a little hard, soak them in hot water for a few minutes. Press the oat-date dough into a small, round form.

  2. Mix all ingredients for the mousse in a mixer until smooth, or use a whisk. Prepare the cake tin with some coconut oil and spread the mousse over the base. Place in the fridge for at least 2 hours.

  3. Mix the sauce ingredients and spread it over the cake, serve and enjoy.
