Refreshing Summer Margarita Variations
Ingredients
- 2 cups frozen watermelon
- 1/2 cup ice
- 1/3 cup tequila
- 2 tbsp orange juice
- Juice from 1 lime
- Optional: mint or basil
- 2 cups frozen pineapple
- 1 cup ice
- 1/4-1/3 cup tequila
- 2 tbsp orange juice
- 1/2 cup lime seltzer
- Blackberries
- 1/2 cup blackberry sparkling water
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/2 lime
- 1/2 orange
- 1 shot tequila
- 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
Preparation
For Watermelon Margaritas: Blend 2 cups frozen watermelon, 1/2 cup ice, 1/3 cup tequila, 2 tbsp orange juice, and juice from 1 lime until smooth. Optional: add mint or basil for extra flavor. Makes 2 drinks.
For Pineapple Margarita: Blend 2 cups frozen pineapple, 1 cup ice, juice from 1 lime, 1/4-1/3 cup tequila, 2 tbsp orange juice, and 1/2 cup lime seltzer until smooth. Rim glass with chili lime seasoning or sugar. Makes 2 drinks.
For Blackberry Margs: Mash blackberries in the bottom of a shaker to release juice. Add 1/2 cup blackberry sparkling water, 1 tbsp honey, juice from 1/2 lime, 1/2 orange, and 1 shot tequila. Shake well and serve with frozen blackberries.
For Strawberry Pineapple Margaritas: Blend 2 cups frozen pineapple, 1/2 cup frozen strawberries, 1/2 cup ice, juice from 1 lime, 1/4-1/3 cup tequila, 2 tbsp orange juice, and 1/2 cup lime seltzer until smooth. Makes 2 drinks.
