Simple Tomato Sauce
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 3-4 large cloves of garlic slightly crushed, but still left whole
- 1, 15 ounce can of cherry or whole plum tomatoes in sauce, puréed in a food processor or crushed by hand
- Salt to taste
Preparation
In a medium pot over medium heat add olive oil and garlic
Stir often until garlic is a deep golden color
Then add tomatoes and salt, stir to combine
Let cook for about 15-20 minutes over medium low heat, stirring periodically
Remove from pot and store in a container in the refrigerator for up to a week or in the freezer for 3 months
