Baked Creamy Tahini Tofu

Ingredients

  • 2 packages extra firm tofu, pressed (or 1 package)
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (add more if desired)
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce or coconut amino
  • 1 teaspoon agave or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon rice wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons water (to thin)
  • 1 teaspoon neutral oil (for the pan)

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a large pan with oil to prevent sticking.

  2. Cut the pressed tofu into bite-size cubes and place evenly on the prepared pan.

  3. Bake tofu for 20 minutes, then flip and bake for an additional 20 minutes.

  4. In a medium bowl, combine the sauce ingredients and whisk.

  5. Add the baked tofu to the bowl and mix.

  6. Serve the tofu with your favorite grain and vegetables, such as rice, edamame, avocado, and mushrooms.
