Chocolate and Pear Cake
Ingredients
- 100 g butter, cubed
- 1/2 cup raw brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
- 1/2 cup natural yogurt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 tablespoons cacao powder
- 2 ripe pears, thinly sliced
Preparation
Preheat oven to 180C and grease a cake tin.
Place butter and sugar in the metal bowl.
Run the EXPERT program for 3 minutes/speed 3/60C.
If needed, scrape down the wall of the bowl.
Add eggs, yogurt, flour, baking powder and cacao.
Restart the program (without the heating) for 1 minute/speed 8.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking tin.
Arrange pear slices on top of the batter.
Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the centre of the cake comes out clean.
Set aside to cool slightly in the pan for 10 minutes.
