Easy Homemade Fried Rice with Ground Meat
Ingredients
- 3 cups cooked and cooled rice or another grain
- 1 lb ground beef, chicken or turkey
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- 10 oz frozen mixed veggies
- 3 large eggs
- 3-5 tbsp lite soy sauce or tamari
- 1-2 tbsp toasted sesame oil
- a few tbsp Honey Aleppo Sauce by Trader Joe’s (optional)
Preparation
Start with 3 cups cooked and cooled rice or another grain.
Heat a large skillet to medium heat and add 1 lb ground beef, chicken or turkey.
Cook, breaking up with a spatula, until no pink remains, then scrape into a heatproof bowl.
Add 3 cloves minced garlic and stir constantly for 30 seconds.
Add 10 oz frozen mixed veggies and allow to cook until warmed through.
While veggies are sautéing, whisk 3 large eggs in a bowl.
Scrape veggies to one side of the pan and add eggs. Cook, stirring, until scrambled.
Add meat back to pan, along with 3-5 tbsp lite soy sauce or tamari and 1-2 tbsp toasted sesame oil.
Stir to incorporate, then carefully fold in cooked rice.
Optionally, add a few tbsp of Honey Aleppo Sauce by Trader Joe’s.
