Sticky Ginger and Garlic Tofu
Ingredients
- 14 oz firm tofu
Ginger garlic sauce
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
- 3 tbsp tamari
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp toasted sesame oil
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 2-3 cloves garlic, grated or minced
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp water
Preparation
Press tofu to remove excess water
Cut tofu into cubes
Heat oil in a pan and fry tofu until golden and crispy
In a separate saucepan, combine all sauce ingredients except cornstarch and water, and bring to a simmer
Mix cornstarch with water to make a slurry, then add to the sauce and stir until thickened
Add fried tofu to the sauce and toss to coat evenly
