Date Nectar and Ginger Glazed Tofu
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup tamari or soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons date nectar
- 3 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
- 1 block tofu
- avocado oil for cooking
Preparation
Whisk together 1/4 cup tamari (or soy sauce), 3 tablespoons date nectar, 3 tablespoons rice vinegar, and 1 tablespoon minced ginger.
Slice a block of tofu.
Cook the sliced tofu in a pan on the stove in a bit of avocado oil until crisp, about 4 minutes on each side.
Add the glaze mixture to the pan with the tofu and let cook on medium heat for about 4 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Serve the tofu as desired and drizzle with the remaining sauce.
