Delicious S’mores Bars for National S’mores Day

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups ground oats
  • 1/2 cup almond butter
  • 1/2 cup dates
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1.5 cups marshmallows

Preparation

  1. In a food processor, blend together the ingredients until a ball forms and all combined. Press into a parchment-lined bread pan and set aside.

  2. Melt together 1 cup chocolate chips with 1 tablespoon coconut oil in 30-second microwave increments. Pour onto the crust and place in the fridge for one hour.

  3. After one hour, melt 1.5 cups marshmallows with 1 tablespoon water in the microwave for 15 seconds, stir, and pour over the chocolate mixture. Let chill in the fridge for at least one more hour.

  4. Cut into bars and enjoy. Can be stored in the fridge or freezer.
