Vegan Lava Cake with Rose Water

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup flour (I used spelt)
  • 1/4 cup cacao powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp rose water
  • pinch of salt
  • 60 ml oil (I used sunflower)
  • 180 ml plant milk
  • 4-6 chocolate pieces

Preparation

  1. Preheat your oven to 180C.

  2. Mix all the ingredients, except for the chocolate pieces.

  3. Pour into greased, small, oven safe moulds. If using muffin moulds, make more than 2 servings as there is more batter.

  4. Put 2 or 3 chocolate pieces in the moulds and make sure they are covered with batter.

  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes.

  6. Let them cool for 10 minutes.

  7. Loosen the sides with a knife and turn them around gently on a plate.

  8. Cut open and enjoy your chocolate lava stream. Optionally, serve with blueberries for freshness.
