Miso Butter Roasted Radishes
Ingredients
- 24 oz (640 g) Radishes (I used Easter Egg)
- 2 1/2 Tbsp (37.5 g) Miyoko's Creamery Vegan Butter
- 1 1/2 Tbsp (22.5 g) Cold Mountain Miso Paste
- 1 tsp (5 ml) Toasted Sesame Oil
- 1 tsp (5 ml) Soy Sauce
- 2 tsp (10 ml) Mirin
- 2 tsp (10 ml) Rice Vinegar
- 1 tsp (5 g) Garlic Powder
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Garnishes
- Green onion, chopped
- Sesame seeds
Preparation
Prep the radishes by giving them a good wash and trimming away any roots or greens. Cut them into halves and larger ones into quarters.
Melt the butter and whisk it together with the miso paste, sesame oil, soy sauce, mirin, rice vinegar, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
Toss the radishes with the miso butter mixture and place them in one single layer onto a baking sheet or large baking dish.
Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes, flip and continue roasting for another 10 to 15 minutes or until nice and browned.
Serve with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
Tips
Roasting radishes transforms their peppery bite into a sweet, succulent texture.
