Whole Food Plant Based Frozen Chocolate Covered Banana
Ingredients
- 1 banana
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon smooth natural peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
- 1/4 cup boiling water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preparation
Whisk the cocoa powder, peanut butter, maple syrup, boiling water, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Peel the banana.
Gently insert a popsicle stick into the bottom of the banana.
Place the banana on a piece of parchment paper.
Spread the chocolate sauce on one side of the banana.
Carefully turn it over and spread sauce on the other side.
Sprinkle desired toppings such as coconut or nuts.
Freeze overnight.
Enjoy the next day.
Tips
The sauce is sufficient for at least two bananas.
If refrigerated, the sauce firms up and can be used as a Nutella-like spread.
