Asian-Style Stir Fried Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 1 head of sweetheart/hispi cabbage
  • 1 tbsp oil for stir frying
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 mild red chilli, skip if not into spice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp sweet soy sauce, sub with 2 tbsp light soy sauce and 1/2 tsp of granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp vegan oyster sauce

Preparation

  1. Heat the oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. Add the garlic and chili, stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

  3. Add the cabbage and salt, stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.

  4. Stir in the sesame oil, sweet soy sauce, and vegan oyster sauce.

  5. Continue stir-frying for 1-2 minutes until the cabbage is tender-crisp and well-coated.

  6. Serve immediately.
